'David:"Come on, Mel. You gotta come with us! My dad told me to bring anyone I wanted. We can give you a ride home if you want. It'll be fun.You do remember fun, don't you?"' (Anderson p. 131). If you were in Melinda's shoes, would you go?
No, I would not be able to go... After previous bad experiences with parties, I’d rather not. I wouldn't have the guts to possibly go through that again and feel the criticism on my shoulders. I couldn’t give another opportunity to be hurt by those around me..
I would't want to go i would feel very out of place and uncompfortable in the situation. And the last time she went to a party it didn't exactly go as planned.

DeleteI would NOT go. After the past She had I wouldn't feel comfortable with going. It's just to hard to not know what I would be in for.

DeleteMother: "You are only hurting yourself by refusing to cooperate." (Anderson, 114). How would you feel if your mother said this to you?
ReplyDeleteI would feel a little hurt..I would probably try to cooperate a little bit more.
Delete"No matter what I try on, I know I'll hate it"(Anderson p. 124). Why do you think Melinda is so negative about her appearance?
ReplyDeleteI think she is negative about her appearance because people tell her she is ugly so she believes it.
DeleteBecause shes been hurt so many times, now she just believes it like anyone else would.
DeleteBecause other people tell her that she is ugly and not good enough, so she believes it.
